Chief Pilot, Eric Halter Promoted to Flight Operations Manager

Skydive Carolina is proud to announce that Skydive Carolina’s Chief Pilot, Eric Halter has been promoted to Flight Operations Manager. Eric’s new role will now oversee all pilot interviews, hiring, scheduling and training.

Skydive Carolina owner, Danny Smith said this about his decision to expand Halter’s position: “We think Eric is a perfect fit for this role as he has been with us since 2005 and understands the needs of both our operation and the needs of our jump pilots. Eric is highly experienced and qualified to ensure that we have the best pilots to safely get our skydivers to jump altitude and professionally work with Charlotte ATC. I felt this move was necessary as our business has grown and continues to grow and with that comes an increased need for structure by management. Eric Halter fits that need perfectly.”

Eric has been involved in the skydiving industry since the early 90s. To date, Eric has amassed in excess of an impressive 8,709 flight hours having flown extensively in a Cessna 182, King Air, Twin Otter, Skyvan and Casa. Eric has been a contract pilot for many operators most notably Fayard Enterprises, Rampart Aviation, Raeford Aviation and Winn Aviation.

We appreciate Eric’s involvement and ask our community to join us in congratulating Eric on his new role at Skydive Carolina.
