Dallas, NC (07/11/2006) It was interesting to watch the professional skydivers before we suited up. They make it look so easy. Hats off to you guys & gals. Before I knew it our time! What an adrenaline rush! I had a wonderful, thrilling, and breath-taking experience; one I wont forget, especially because I have the dvd and pictures to remind me. The dvd and photos were awesome. Great work Terry and to Delfina for great editing! Of course kudos to my co-star, Kenn! ;) Kenn, you were absolutely awesome! When I asked if we could spin, you delivered. Woah, that was crazy. The landing was greatly appreciated not on the rear, it was perfect! Thanx for making my experience everlasting! See you guys at Skydive Carolina! again soon! |

Pereira,
Belmont, NC (11/21/2005) This is where we met our Tandem Instructors. My Instructor, Gene, was awesome. He got me suited up and ready to go in short order. He was very informative and was open to all my questions. He also kept the atmosphere light with some jokes and smiles. This is also where you meet your personal Photographer/Videographer. My Photographer/Videographer was Heidi. She rocks!!! She was very upbeat and positive. She really knows how to pull your personality out, so that it shows up well on film. Once I was suited up we were boarding the plane. The plane ride is a short 15 minute ride to about 14,000 ft. At about 8,000 ft. my Photographer/Videographer Heidi checked in with me again to get a little nore footage before we exited the aircraft. When we reached the jump zone at 14,000 ft. the door slid open and the experienced skydivers exited the aircraft in record time. Before I knew it, the people I came with were exiting the aircraft and it was my turn. As I approached the door, the reality hit me that I was about to jump out of an airplane. Luckily, I didn't have too much time to think about it, because no sooner were we at the door, than we were out it. The second I left the aircraft, all the fear and nervousness left and was replaced by sheer excitement and thrill. I can't begin to explain the feeling. It's thrilling, exciting and empowering all at once. You feel like you are on top of the world. (Probably because you are...) You don't feel like you are falling, you just feel like you are flying. It's awesome! The one thought that I can recall was, "Why haven't I done this before?" The freefall was an adrenaline rush like nothing else. You are trying to soak it up and enjoy it, but at the same time you are mindful of your Photographer/Videographer shooting the video. So you have to ham it up for the camera a little. Before I knew it, the parachute was deployed and everything went silent. I was now drifting slowly towards the earth, like a feather. Peaceful is the only way I can describe this part. By the time we approched the field to land, Heidi was on the ground and filming. She approached me and we did the final interview piece for the video. Ten minutes later I had my video in hand, I had already purchased my next jump and I was ready to go home. (Or at least go for a beer!) I have found that very few things in life are worth the asking price, but this is certainly one of them. If you have ever considered doing something crazy to shake your life up, or if you are already involved in other extreme experiences, do yourself a favor and take a skydive at Skydive Carolina! And be sure to get the Video/Picture package! It's money well spent. I have watched mine like 15 times in the last couple days since my jump. Everyone wants to see it when you tell them about it! Take a skydive at Skydive Carolina! as soon as you can. You will thank yourself and them over and over and over again. So, thank you Gene! Thank you Heidi! And, thank you Skydive Carolina!, for everything! |

He made me feel comfortable and safe whole way! The staff and camera crew were great! Everyone was very friendly and more excited for me to be there than I was! I can't wait to save up some money to come back! Great job you guys for helping ordinary people feel as adventurous as it made me feel! See ya' soon. |

Lamb,
Winston-Salem, NC (9/21/2005) INCREDIBLE!!!!!This was one of the most exciting adventures of my life! We were part of a group who work together, and it was made even more special as my mother and my daughter jumped also. I have to say, the only time I got frightened was when I saw my baby girl go out the door. That caused a near panic mother reaction. However, she was with a great instructor (Kenn), and it finally dawned on me that he would take good care of her. My instructor (Gene) got me safely back to the ground, my videographer (Robin) was absolutely wonderful! He is so upbeat and so funny! We have signed up for another jump, and next time plan to modify a few things. Fisrt, we did not eat anything before our jump as we thought we'd be going in the morning. It worked out that we didn't jump until mid-afternoon, so our blood sugars had dropped and we all felt a little queasy and headachy. We'll be sure to eat. We also didn't have much to drink, so we were a bit dehydrated. I wasn't sure when we hit the ground that it was anything I ever needed to do again, but I can't seem to stop grinning, and I can't seem to stop thinking about it, so we have signed up for another ride! We can't wait! Thanks to all, you were wonderful and took great care of us! |

A. Elis, Stanley, NC (9/3/2005) If you're nervous don't be, the staff at Skydive Carolina!'s amazing, seriously. Each and every one of them make you feel great, of course I'm partial to Kenn and Robin seeing as how they were my instructor and film guy, but Kelly loved Gene as Beth (Kelly's mom) loved Robert. The free fall and getting right out of the plane is definitely the best part. You can't even tell you are falling at 120 miles per hour, well until you see your camera guy fly by you once the shoot is out. If I can recommend this to any of you, do it and get the video and file. They will help you remember one of your best life experiences. 2 1/2 miles in the air (14000 ft) and falling out of a plane is something you will never forget. I just want to thank everyone at Skydive Carolina! for the best 21st BIRTHDAY ever, well and of course Kelly B, for coming up with idea, I'm never surprised by the way and she surprised the hell out of me! Kenn, Robin you two ROCK ASS...Thank you soooo much and I will see you sometime in the spring. |

Manning, West Columbia, SC (8/25/2005) I think you get the picture: we enjoyed ourselves immensely. And speaking for my wife I can say she was glad to see her entire family walk away from the drop zone with all our various appendages still attached. Our hats are off to our instructors, Robert West, Kenn Ouzts, and Charles Hammond: they displayed just the right amount of professionalism mixed with a sense of fun. What I want to point out most of all has to do with the video and the effort you went to getting it to us in time for the birthday party Saturday night. This stands out in my mind as much as the jump itself. I can't think of any other organization that would have taken such pains to make us happy. It defines what is meant by "customer service." Please extend my thanks to Judy Girard; she was not only a fine videographer but she clearly went above and beyond the call. Thanks for an experience we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. Best wishes
to you and your staff, |

Bullard, Gastonia, NC (8/22/2005) On 08/20/05 I got to live out a dream of skydiving (riding the wind as I call it.)My experience was perfect. It could not have been any better. Chuck was my tandem master and Pepe was my videographer. These guys made me feel like a star. I was not scared at all. But when my nerves kicked in so did these guys. They kept me calm and happy. As you know I can not describe the feeling I got from this. But it was the best day of my life. I want to thank everybody involved. Everybody was so nice. Special thanks to James for introducing me to Rachel (my sky idol).I really enjoyed getting to hang out with her. Maybe next time I will get to jump with her. I only have one regret from this day, and that is that I didn't get to properly thank everybody involved and tell you all goodbye. But I realize there was no need for goodbyes because I will be back. So I will just say thank you all so much and I will see you all again hopefully in a few months. Props to the website designer too! You have built a great website. Very informative! Keep smiling everyone:) |

| Amber Keck (7/7/2005) Since I was a little girl, I had told my parents that I wanted to skydive. For my high school graduation, my parents gave me this as a present. I went on July 4th. (I was the fireworks)! I was extremely nervous as I was getting suited up. My AWSOME instructor Kenn helped to calm me down. He told jokes the entire time. I could not have asked for a better instructor. This day was also the first time I had ever been on an airplane! The ride up was amazing. Everyone was laughing and having fun. The most beautiful thing was the blanket of clouds that covered the sky. The actual jump is indescribable. It was amazing. I have never felt so free!! As we were free-falling I felt as if we were flying. To all of you who were wondering......your stomach does not drop when you jump. You dont even feel like you are falling. Once the parachute was pulled, you could see for miles! I wanted to thank all of Skydive Carolina!'s staff for makiing this an unforgetable experience. I especially want to thank Kenn! You are an awsome instructor. I wouldnt of wanted to be straped to any other instructor. I'll always remember that we were the only tandam at the time to stand or landing!!! |

Jennifer Taylor (6/20/2005) As we reached 14,000 feet, the experienced divers went out one by one. Then it was my boyfriend's turn...ready..set...go...he was out. When I saw him jump, I got really really scared...it was my turn! OH MY GOD! I'm about to jump out of a plane..WAS I NUTS!?!? Chuck and I waddled up to the door and he said...ready...set..go and BAM we were flying. I opened my eyes immediately and it was not like falling, the ground did not get closer and closer the more we fell, there was no feeling of falling in my stomach...it was true feeling of floating. I screamed and waved at the cameraman, threw a thumbs up, and before I knew it, the parachute was opening. We went back up like a yo-yo and the view was incredible. Chuck did a few spirals for me and 5 minutes later we were on the ground. I have never been so happy in my entire life. If you decide to go I have 2 suggestions. 1. Get the video/pictures for your 1st jump..it's only been 2 days and I've watched it at least 10 times. And 2. ASK FOR CHUCK! He's the greatest. I'm already planning a trip for my Dad's 50th birthday in September and I can't wait to go back. |

Donald Trump would be honored to have you as his human relations consultant. Joe, you saved the day. I loved your “peach jump suit” and your free spirit. The video, I will always cherish. I would not have wanted anyone else to take my picture while I was scared “_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _”. Ken,
you have the most awesome job. I could not have been any more comfortable

It truely is the most exhilirating experience there is. Ken was my tandem instructor and he was just awesome. He explained everything very well and answered any questions i had. He let me help in the landing and was just great the whole time. Judy was the videographer and was the coolest, she made me feel comfortable and talked the whole time which helped greatly. I would like to thank Skydive Carolina! for my experience and I will definately be back to either to tandem jump again or go through the AFF program to get certified, more than likely the AFF program. Thanks again. |

Forister (5/23/2005) We made it! Steven & I both jumped out of a perfectly good airplane yesterday and we both lived to tell about it! We arrived at Skydive Carolina! in Chester, SC shortly before our 3PM scheduled time. It was a beautiful day – warm and mostly sunny w/ blue skies & a gentle breeze, only a handful of clouds. After filling out the mountain of paperwork & legal disclaimers and sitting through a short video, we started suiting up. We each went tandem (Steve w/ Ken and me w/ Chuck) and each had our own photographer / videographer (Sean was mine.) We also had some buddies on the plane with us – my good friends Ed & Michelle – both avid skydivers – who came out for moral support and encouragement. That’s’ not all, though. There were a total of 14 people in that tiny Cessna plane which only had one seat, the pilot’s seats. Steve & I and our instructors got to straddle the one bench in the plane, (backs to the pilot, facing the back door of the plane, all in a row.) The rest of the divers sat in a line on the floor. Once we got up to 14,000 ft, the rolling glass door opened and the first few regulars lined up to jump out. That’s right about the time I started my deep breathing routine – out of sheer panic. Oh my gosh! What the heck was I doing?!?! I must be crazy! Steven and his instructor were next. They were attached at both shoulders & hips with those crucial 4 hooks (FOUR HOOKS!?!?! Is that ALL that is holding me on to the man with the parachute – FOUR HOOKS!?! OH MY GOSH!) Still, being attached that way made it awkward to slide down the bench and scoot over to the open door. But there Steve & Ken were… at the door, squatting at the edge… rocking forward (“ONE”)… then backward (“TWO”) then out they went (“THREEEEEEE!!”) I’ll let Steve tell you in his own time about his jumping experience but what I can say about mine is that watching Steve & Ken jump out – is when I went into total panic mode. I closed my eyes. It was my only defense. “Remember to breath, Gerilyn… remember while jumping out of the plane to keep my arms either crossed in front or holding on to my shoulder straps… remember to keep my head back… remember to keep my legs between the instructor’s legs and kick my feet up behind me as if to kick the instructor in the tail… remember to smile for the camera… oh yeah, and again… remember to breath.” I don’t remember jumping out – I guess because my eyes were closed. But I opened my eyes almost immediately once we were out of the plane. I saw blue and I saw clouds… lots of clouds. And it was chilly – not cold, but chilly. I was very scared – a bit too scared to actually enjoy myself. “They lied,” I thought. “They told me I would not get the sensation of falling – but I definitely feel like I’m falling” was the thought resonating through my brain. In retrospect though – it wasn’t a “falling” sensation I was having as much as it was – WINDY! Having 120 miles per hour of wind in my face is not a normal experience for me! I tried to smile for the camera a few times and blow a kiss once or twice- but the wind was having its way with the skin on my face (think… chipmunk- post wisdom-teeth surgery. That’s about what I looked like in my video!) I was nervous & scared – but it was cool – unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. After playing with the camera a bit more (thumbs up, wave, smile – ooops – there went my bottom lip!), I noticed that Chuck’s arm was in front of me and his altimeter was right at 6,000 ft. Although it felt like no time at all had gone by, I knew what it meant when we hit 6,000 ft– it was time for me to pull the cord. Would I have enough nerve to do it or was I still too panicky? I reached down my right hand to my right hip – there it was – the rip cord – just where I left it! (Imagine that?!) I let go of it for a second to wave goodbye to the camera – grabbed it again and – WOW! A slight jerk and tug and we were floating. (I later apologized profusely to Chuck for dropping the rip cord – a detachable piece which has to get replaced each time one is lost and which Chuck reminded me 6 times not to let go of.) But anyway – there we were FLOATING 5800 ft above the earth! Wow! I told Chuck that I was REALLY scared. But somehow just being able to tell him that & hear him talk back to me (which we were unable to do during free-fall because of the noise of the wind) was reassuring enough. I started to calm down a bit. And then, I really started to enjoy the scenery and the sensation of floating as we slowly descended. He said you can see the buildings ofCharlotte on a clear day. I did not, but I saw acres and acres of beautiful Carolina country-side. It was an incredibly free experience – my fear was fading into a distant memory (just like the plane thousands of feet above.) We did a few spiral turns here & there – he went easy at my request – gently pulling on one toggle strap or another. “Where’s Steve?” I asked him and he pointed to big blue parachute below me that was just about to land. “Where are Ed & Michelle?” They were already on the ground. And in no time at all, so were we. I lifted my legs up like a pro and Chuck brought us in for a perfect landing. Wow! What a rush! So – what do you do if you’re someone like me – scared of heights and just went through one of the most frightening experiences in my life? So frightening that I had to close my eyes & remind myself to breath?!?! What do you do if you’re like me? You sign up for another jump, of course! And that’s exactly what I’ve done – I’ve signed up to go back again sometime within the next 12 months. Maybe next time I can tell you tell you what its like to actually watch w/ my eyes open when we jump out of the plane. I certainly plan to make more of the free-fall experience now that I know what to expect. And I’ll definitely work on practicing better muscle control over my facial features! All in all, it was a fabulous experience. And the video was an excellent $100 investment; I’ve watched it a few times already and sure many more times to come. I got the still shot photography too and as soon I get them developed I’ll e-mail a few pics out. If you haven’t ever experienced skydiving for yourself… you don’t know what you’re missing! |

Bartholomew (5/2/2005) WOW! What an incredible experience! My daughter Jessica and I participated in Operation Freefall 2005, and I can never fully express how much this experience meant to us. Although Jessica and I both jumped to raise awareness of sexual assault, we had also experienced a great loss in our lives two years ago with my brother's tragic and unexpected death. We saw skydiving as an opportunity to heal and to regain some sense of power. Mission accomplished! Special thanks to our tandem instructors - Bill and Chuck - we'll be asking for you on our next jump(which we've already purchased)! |

The price was not bad at all and I got together a group of Six people. The experience was AWESOME. You dont get to do stuff like this on a normal basis, even tho we are going to try to now :-). After we jumped, we bought another ticket do go again sometime this summer. The staff is VERY friendly and informative. Skydiving is a must for all, its GREAT. Thanks again for the awesome time. |

Caperton, Whilteville, NC (11/6/2004) Skydive Carolina!'s total assurance for safety and the vast experience of their Jumpmasters makes any jumper feel that he or she is in the hands of the best professionals in the business. With those things being assured, a tandem jumper is free to get completely lost in his/her own self-indulgent way of dealing with leaping out of an airplane at 12-14,000 feet! Thank you Skydive Carolina! for your professionalism, your friendliness, and your outstanding way of taking adrenalin production to an all-new high! This is truly an experience I will never forget.

Brown, (10/14/2004) Now I have got the fever. Today is Thursday and my feet have still not hit the ground. I have showed my DVD to probably close to a 100 friends at work and seen a spark light up in their eyes as well so I'm sure you will be seeing our faces in the future.(Definitely mine since I have already pre-paid for my next jump). I would like to drop just a few words of thanks to some of the most professional people I have had the pleasure meeting. To Jeff thanks for instruction & answering my questions in the training room. Christa Johnson, thanks for showing us the gleam in your eyes at work when you tell us about your weekends in Chester, S.C. Ken Ouzts instructor/tandem master my man you were great, fantastic,a fabulous person to team up with. For some odd reason I was not nervous 1 second. This was probably due to your professionalism, attitude, and experience. Your instruction was complete and very thorough (sorry about the landing, hope I didn't mess up to bad). I look forward to jumping with you again in the future, maybe even solo eventully. I had lost 11 lbs prior to my jump & hope to shed many many more before I come back down there. Pepe!!! What Up Dude!!! Man you are one crazy guy. I enjoyed jumping with you & Ken.Your video you shot was right on. Perfect.I wish I had ask you to put in Happy Anniversary with my name though. my wife got on to me for not mentioning it in thr intiew, but no biggy. Thanks man. Great shoot. Perra, editing was fabulous. perfect music & pics. Lots of comments from my friends on the DVD itself. Again thanks to each & everyone of you & the atmosphere you guys create down in S.C. Hooked forever. |

Cannaday, Mooresville, NC (10/10/2004) I simply wanted to e-mail you to say Thank You for such a wonderful experience. My girlfriends and I enjoyed skydiving so much that we've already begun trying to talk our family and friends into joining us for another dive. I was very pleased with each of your associates. Not only were they very professional, but they were also a lot of fun! None of us were the least bit nervous until we were at the door of the plane about to jump. The dive was everything I thought it would be and more. It seemed to go by so fast that it almost felt like a dream. It is nice to have the DVD and pictures to look at to ensure that it was all real. We can't wait to do it again. Thanks again! |

Flynn, Lexington, NC (9/26/2004) I just wanted to say an additional thanks to Chuck and Terry for the great time I had last Friday. I can hardly wait to do it again. ;) It was a blast! I knew that if I got to come home from Iraq for a mid-deployment vacation, I'd be thinking about these two weeks until I make it home again. My tandem jump with you guys is going to be a cherished memory that I'm sure I will do a lot of reminiscing over these last few months I have on tour. Take care, and I'll see you guys early next year! (By the way Terry, the pics turned out great! |

Niday, Hickory, NC (9/21/2004) To celebrate my 50th birthday, my 2 daughters and I all did tandem skydives, something I have always wanted to do. WHAT A BREATHTAKING EXPERIENCE!!!! The staff was great and made us all feel very comfortable. Thanks Kenn and Bill, our tandem instructors, and Blair, Pepe and Heidi, our videographers. The DVD's and still shots are awesome. Thanks also to Sharon for arranging the great day for us. Looking forward to my next jump. |

It was a blast, really enjoyed the thrill and my instructor, Tim Hord was awesome and my video guy did a great job and I can't wait to blow up some of the photos! I have watched my video 8 times already!!! It was an experience I won't forget. Thanks for making my 30th birthday dream a reality!!! |

Sanders, Kannapolis, NC (9/14/2004) Thank you Skydive Carolina! Just wanted to drop a quick line letting you know what a great, fantastic, unbelievable time we had skydiving 9/11. My soon to be husband, his best friend and myself decided on a whim to call and schedule a jump. While it hadn't been my lifelong dream to jump from a plane I was more than game to give it a shot. Can you say re-organizing life time dream list? Ken, my tandem partner, was incredible. He was funny, friendly and best of all comforting just when those little nerves started to rear their ugly head. I can't imagine not doing this again and again! We back flipped, we spun, we glided like birds. It was beyond anything. Thank you, thank you, thank you for opening my eyes to a great new experience. |

Watson, Matthews, NC (9/13/2004) My son Jonathan Watson and myself came to Skydive Carolina! to do our first tandem skydive at the same time. The experience was a great success from start to finish. We enjoyed it so much that Jonathan has since did another tandem and I started my accelerated training program. My first jump was far from perfect because I did not arch properly. Judy was a great trainer and helped me not only complete that jump successfully but also encouraged me to not give up and try a second jump. I did so on September 11, 2004 and it was a great success and now I have progressed to level 2 and looking forward to the next jump. Judy is a great trainer and the entire staff is as professional as possible. I applaud your facility and staff for making my skydiving experience nothing short of excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for an adrenaline rush!! |

Holland, Matthews, NC (9/9/2004) On Saturday Sept. 4, 2004 a group from my office did our first sky dive. We had bad weather two other weekends but finally got our chance to jump. We had fun hanging out with the staff and other jumpers while we waited. I've always wanted to try skydiving but didn't think I'd have the guts to go through with it. I'm afraid of heights and can't even get on the down escalator. My tandem instructor Jeff Hekking walked me through the whole thing and made me feel safe and secure. It was the most thrilling experience of my life! The freefall was awesome! My favorite part was the parachute ride-soaring through the clouds and doing spirals. The view was breathtaking. The landing was also very easy. My videographer Blair Westbrook did a great job with the video and took incredible photos. The experience was well worth the money. I haven't stopped smiling since I landed back on the ground! I already bought another jump and can't wait to do it again. Thanks to Skydive Carolina! |

Jordan, Charlotte, NC (8/26/2004) There is nothing I can write that hasn't been written over and over in everyone's testimonial....It was one of the best days of my life, I am still walking around like I am 10 feet tall...it was the most amazing thing I have ever done! And just like most, I have already scheduled my next jump for Saturday, Sept. 4th and I can't wait. My first jump was with about 10 of my friends. My tandem instructor was Chuck. He is an awesome guy and made my jump perfect! My videoflyer was Delphine...What an awesome job she did!!! I got the video and the still shots and everyone that knows me has seen both! I highly recommend to anyone that jumps to get the experience recorded!! I have watched it over and over and it's like reliving my jump. We are all jumping again and bringing a few more with us on the 4th. This may just be my new hobby! |

Aiken (8/23/2004) I can't begin to thank you enough for allowing me to experience one of the most awesome days of my life. I am truly STILL on Cloud 9!! I have never done anything so empowering, but most importantly so freeing from worldly fears. I was praying my favorite scripture that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" over and over right before we got the all clear to jump. IT TRULY WAS A LEAP OF FAITH. I had written in my application letter about imagining that I would feel the breath of God up there soaring in the heavens, but it actually felt like the hand of God was holding me up. WOW!! I will hold that image in my mind and heart forever. Thank you for giving me a day to remember. I really do feel like there is nothing left to fear that I can't overcome with God's support. I can Let Go and Let God! |

Leslie Nease,
AFC - Co-Host Family Friendly Morning Show WOW! Thank you for a wonderful first jump on Saturday! It was so much more than I could have ever thought. I feel like God blessed me beyond words – but I had to overcome my fear of heights first. I don’t know what’s more exhilarating – my conquering of my fear of heights or seeing God’s beautiful creation from such a unique and incredible perspective. Now I know why this is addicting! Special thanks to my man CHUCK, my awesome tandem instructor and David and Pepe – my video & photo guys. It was a blast – and I know you’ll be seeing me again someday. James, you were right – I loved it! This attached photo, taken just after I landed, says it all!

Welsh, Charlotte, NC (7/30/2004) I did my first tandem jump today. It's the first of many more to come. We went as a group of eleven. Eight of us are going back in a couple of weeks. We bought the DVD's, a must have for the first time flyers. I took my lap top to some friends today to show them the DVD's, another five people want to come. Rachel Hines was my instructor she was awesome. She made me feel so at ease. She was also a lot of fun and likes to joke around. We had a blast. Thanks to everyone at Skydive Carolina!, you guys are first class. |

Warsham, Charlotte, NC (7/29/2004) I must say that I may be hooked on skydiving. Myself and a friend made our second tandem jump on July 24th. The second time was even better than the first. We brought two new people with us who had always wanted to experience this amazing ride, and they loved it as much as we did. All the folks affiliated with Skydive Carolina! are wonderful. You couldn't ask to be associated with a friendlier group of people. Pepe, thanks for the video man. Next time we will get the stills. ;-) I would recommend Skydive Carolina! to anyone who wants to have the thrill of a lifetime. We will be back very very soon!!!! |

Hilger, Charlotte, NC (7/25/2004) A week ago (July 18) I was in Chester for my first tandem jump, and I wish I could be living that day all over again. What a great experience!!! I have imagined it a million times, but never as it truly is! My friend of many years, Eric, is down there jumping every week, and he's been inviting Kim and I to do our tandem for at least a year or two. I can't believe we waited so long. My tandem instructor, Bill was great! Even during the most tense moments, he had me laughing and at ease. Thanks to Eric and Terry for a great video and their wit and humor. Everyone at Skydive Carolina! made the jump and the day perfect!!! Kim and I will be back! |

Pou, Charlotte, NC (7/20/2004) At age 57 I took my first skydive after my friend Michelle told me about her first jump, describing it as,"she was so glad she didn't die before experiencing a jump from an airplane." I took the challenge and jumped on July 17th! It was the most exhilarating thing I've ever done in my life. Thanks go to Tim and Mike and all the other people there at Skydive Carolina! for making me feel safe. I shall return. |

B. Hancock, Matthews,
NC (7/20/2004) Kudos to Liam, my instructor, for a FABULOUS time. Sunday, July 18th was my 40th birthday. The skydive was everything I could have hoped for (and more). I was nervous but Liam and others at Skydive Carolinas helped to make it a great experience. So much so that I signed up for a 2nd jump which I hope to do in a few months. Thanks Skydive Carolina!! |

Griffin, Fort Mill, SC (7/20/2004) I took my first skydiving trip this past Sunday July 18, 2004. My neighbors asked me if I wanted to skydive with them because they could get a $10 discount with so many people signed up and being the bleeding heart I am I told them I'd sign up and I think I shocked them from the look on their faces. I also have always wanted to do this. Anyway, from the moment I got there until we left, the staff I met or saw in action, were so incredibly nice and just having fun! I have to tell you I didn't have feelings one way or the other and I knew as a normal person I needed to be scared, but you don't know how to act when you don't know what is coming. OK, it only took about 2 minutes after getting on the plane to know that I knew exactly how I felt.......SCARED. What was I thinking??! I'm just as chemically unbalanced as the next person, but it takes a special person to do this. I was not thinking I was one of these special people after looking down from 3,000 feet and we had to go to 14,000 feet. Ken was my instructor and Ken absolutely is The Man! He made something so terrifying so much fun! He totally put me at ease with his "jokes" and personality:) Everyone on the plane acted like it was just another day at the office and cut up with each other like it was no big deal. My trip up consisted of a bunch of guys and there was an individual jumper that was a woman that I admire so much, she is the type of brave that I used to be. Terry did the photography and video, I don't know what else to say, except he is awesome at what he does and the person he is! I watch the video like it's my favorite movie! I make everyone watch it too, to tell them that if I can do it they can. I have not stopped smiling and walking on air since Sunday. I can't wait to go back! Oh, I'll be scared, but it will be different the second time. I think the guys I know are going to go just because they don't want a girl showing them up. I also want people I know to go so I have a reason to go hang out at one of the coolest places around. If I don't see you here, I'll see you in the air. |

Baxter, Piedmont,
SC (7/18/2004) Big Smiles....Speachless is the only word to use, as words cannot really come close to explaining, nor describing the feelings that one has...not when on the way up in the plane, or at being next to jump, nor when doing freefall summersaults.....My son brought me and his girlfriend up today..7/18/04..a combination of all our birthdays...them 25, me 47..all for our first tandem jumps..my DiveMaster Ken O was totally awesome, made me feel entirely at ease...Melissa's was Chuck and Derek's was Ken, and they were awesome too though not as awesome as mine..lol...the entire staff was friendly and helpful and I will definitely be returning!!!!..and recommending Skydive Carolina! to friends!!! |

Lovill, Concord, NC (7/19/2004) WOW!!!!!!!!! Where do I start? I had my first tandem jump on Saturday July 17th and man was it great!!!! An experience of a lifetime. It is difficult to put into words the feelings that come with skydiving but I really want to thank Ken so much for being my instructor. He was so funny and helpful and wanted to make sure everything went just right to make my first jump the best....and it worked. We went backwards out of the plane and did a couple of flips and I think I was yee hawing all the way to the actual landing and laughing the whole time! I never felt nervous and I owe this to Ken and the whole staff. I can't believe how nice and professional everyone was. They made sure that I was well taken care of! The video is GREAT and everyone wants to see it so I think I showed it 3 times on Sunday to 3 different groups of friends. You may have several more coming down soon by the sound of it! Thanks again and I will definitely be doing this again!!!!! Skydive Carolina! ROCKS! |

Everyone at Skydive Carolina! was so nice. It's a friendly energy filled atmosphere. And everyone makes you feel so comfortable and safe! I'll be back again SOON. Actually you may not be able to keep me away! Thanks so much to Ken and Bill our instructors and Heidi who did Nicole's video and photos! The video is so amazing! Tons of great shots and the music with it Rocks!! It's very professional. (Actually makes me wonder why the training video is so cheesy)Video and photos are well worth it!! See you in a couple weeks. |

S Young, Indian Trail, NC (6/29/2004) I took a tandem jump this past Sunday 27 June 2004 and I wanted to give a thumbs up to everyone at Skydive Carolina!!! My instructor was Heidi Adams and she did one heck of a job!!! The crew did everything right from start to finish in making sure that me any my wife had a great time. In fact I immediately signed up again to make another jump and I have told everyone that has asked about my experience to come down there and experience a jump with you guys at least once. Upon my next jump I hope that Heidi and Delphina are still there as they did a great job and I want them to work with me again. Thanks again for such great service!!!! |

Carter, Rock Hill, SC (5/25/2004) All I can say was that it was a thrill of a lifetime.....and a great way to celebrate my 35th birthday. My tandem jump with instructor Gene Stuart and videographer Terry Hopkins was not only impressive, but incredibly professional. The weather was perfect, the scenery was breathtaking and the people at Skydive Carolina! were amazing. I thank you all for making 4/28/04 a day I will never forget. I made a few friends that day and plan to be jumping again soon! Thanks again Skydive Carolina! Blue Skies. |

McCurry, Asheville, NC (5/16/2004) Today I started my AFF jumps. Judy and Heidi were my instructors. To let you know how professional these folks are at Skydive Carolina!, my jump did not go as planned and with the help of my team they got me back in to a flight pattern. I have to repeat this jump which I do not mind for this shows me that skydiving must be perfect and to achieve this the diver must not forget one single lesson no matter what you may find yourself in. This makes me even more determined to skydive with Skydive Carolina!'s teams ... they are Awesome !! |

Marlor, Salisbury, NC (5/14/2004) The only way to describe my experience is....wow! Although I went with just my brother to make a jump and it was a weekday, you all made me feel right at home. You catered to my needs and helped to work around my schedule. Everyone was a pleasure to talk to from planning the jump, to the day of the jump itself. My instructor was just awesome. He not only taught me what to do, he made it fun and I could tell he was having fun doing it. This truly was one of the best experiences in my life and I will never forget it. I can't wait till my next jump, and I wouldn't do it anywhere but Skydive Carolina! |

Poole, Fort Mill, SC (4/26/2004) WOW! What can I say - How do I describe the thrill of a lifetime. I looked forward with great anticipation to what my friends Danny, James and Christy have been talking to me about for months now, and I finally understand why this is a passion for them. I'm totally hooked. I came out a week early before my jump just to watch some tandem jumps and they all looked so excited and ready for more - I just couldn't wait till it was my turn. Well, the day finally came and I wasn't even scared because everyone made me feel so comfortable and and so well taken care of. Steve was my instructor and made everything sound so calm and simple, Terry did an awesome job on the video, and of course Danny Smith gave me a gift I will never forget. Thank you all at Skydive Carolina! for my "Independence Day". |

Branson, North Augusta, GA (4/11/2004) I had my first skydive last year at Skydive Carolina! with Joey and it was wonderful. Although I had to wait nearly six hours for the sky to open up and the sun to shine through, it was well worth the wait as my anticipation level was at a peek. Jumping tandem and not having a choice when you're standing at the edge of the plane is quite a thrill. The initial freefall is pretty much a blur, lots of screaming and heart coming up through your chest! Once you regain your bearings though, the remainder of the fall is something I will never forget. There aren't words to describe it. The video and memories are priceless in my opinion as I haven't found any experience that could even come close to skydiving. My friends have asked me why I choose Skydive Carolina! instead of a place here in Canada...I have to tell them that my brother dove with you and he said the overall experience was awesome as the staff and instructors were very helpful, friendly and fun. I'll definitely be back! Thanks, Jules |

Pasley, Matthews, NC (4/7/2004) It's hard to describe the feeling of my first jump....exhilarating, empowering, breathtaking, even life altering! A once in a lifetime experience that will forever be a wonderful worthwhile memory! I urge anyone who wants to do only 1 thing that they didn't think they would do....to do this! Danny, Bill and Sean all were wonderful in making my experience one that I will never forget and never stop talking about! Thank you from the bottom of my and my daughters heart! You will always have my whole hearted endorsement as a first class operation! :) |

Burnett, Charlotte, NC (3/29/2004) I made a tandem skydive on March 27, 2004 for my birthday. It was a great way to start off my 30's. I wanted to do something wild and crazy. I enjoyed every minute of it!! I was very nervous, as this was my first time on any aircraft, also. Steve was a terrific instructor, and very professional. I was very comfortable with him once we were ready to jump. Thanks to Heidi for filming my experience. I look forward to coming back and trying it again. Next time, I won't be so nervous, and will probably enjoy it even more so!! Thanks Skydive Carolina! |

Barringer,
Charlotte, NC (3/29/2004) I made my first jump on Sunday, March 28, 2004. Jeff was my instructor and I couldn't have asked for a nicer or more professional person to assist me in falling out of a plane! :) I put my life in this stranger's hands and never once thought he might let me down. And he certainly didn't. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and so willing to help that it made my experience even more enjoyable. And copiloting the plane was an extra bonus. And a special thanks to Blair for giving me such a wonderful video. You did what I asked and made me look good. :) I bet I've watched that video 50 times already. I can't stop talking about it. I'm still floating on air. Thanks to all of you at Skydive Carolina! |

Bentley, Portland, OR (1/8/2004) Well my story is long so I'll do my best to shorten it. My buddy Dan Sherman moved down south from NY, so I came down a few months after. I started to work for a freeflyer, Kurt is his name. He owns a deli and would play video footage of his jumps on the shops TV I would tell him all the time how that looks like fun, then one day I ended up there in Chester, met some of the crew, Red and Freak and the next thing I know I'm jumping out of a plane! Man I have been hooked ever since. It's been a couple of summers since that day but its a day I will never forget! Thanks to Tracey (my tandem instructor), all the staff, and especially Kurt (you can find him in the freeflying photo portion of this site!) You opened an entirely new door in my life. Thanks a lot Skydive Carolina! (I just wish it could be that good out here!) Well, Peace out from P-Town! |

Riffe, Abingdon, VA (11/16/2003) "I turned 50 this summer and my younger brother and I decided to learn to skydive. After visiting several DZs, we decided to train at Skydive Carolina! Yesterday we obtained a "Novice" rating by passing level 7 and have had a great experience. The staff and instructors we had were very willing to work with us so that both of us could do the entire program at the same time. The instructors are excellent, patient and understanding in their training efforts. (And training me takes patience!) I'd especially like to thank Steve, Judy, Chip, Bill, Joey and Danny for their patience and help. There's no better place to train." |

Falling was the most freeing sensation I've ever felt. The instructors were absolutely fantastic and helpful as were the videographers. I think one of the most fun things was watching my friend do her first AFF jump. I'm right behind her! We had a party afterwards with a great buffet that was completely yummy. They really treated us well. There was camping too, for those who didn't want to drive back. I can't wait to let Theresa...know that I'll be going again." |

My daughter had such a great time watching the rigs being packed. You really have a friendly staff. I had a great jump with (Geoff Woodriff) what a good instructor. I hope he will be one of my AFF jumpmasters. My wife is ready to jump now, and of course I'm ready to start my AFF. Thanks for all you do. We look forward to returning soon. Keep up the good work!!!!!" |
